Red Ribbon Club

The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) aims to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS among youth and promote safe and healthy behaviors. It also focuses on reducing stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) also, the club empowers youth to become peer educators and agents of change in their communities.

1.    Educating youth about HIV/AIDS transmission, prevention, care, and treatment.

 

2.    Encouraging responsible sexual behavior, drug abuse prevention, and other healthy practices.

 

3.    Reducing stigma and discrimination

 

4.    Fostering empathy and support for PLHIV, combating negative attitudes and prejudice.

 

5.    To ensure the well-being and empowerment of women and girls by promoting their physical and mental health, particularly during menstruation.

 

6.    Educating women and girls as well as families and communities, about menstrual health, hygiene practices, and the importance of breaking down taboos surrounding menstruations crucial

 

7.    Developing leadership and communication skills, Encouraging voluntary blood donation

 

8.    Mobilizing youth to participate in blood donation drives to ensure safe blood supply.

 

9.    Building a network of support

 

10.   Connecting youth with resources and organizations that can provide assistance related to HIV/AIDS and sexual health.
